The Undergraduate Life Sciences Teaching Labs Renewal project

The Undergraduate Life Sciences Teaching Labs Renewal project was completed by North Mitchell Lumber Co. (Soffit King) and Midtown Projects & Design in a given short timeline. The project involved a renewal and expansion of the Biological Sciences complex to provide modern, well equipped teaching laboratories for over 2,000 students enrolled in undergraduate life sciences programs. North Mitchell Lumber Co. (Soffit King) managed soffit installation, including providing engineering drawings & install of the hatrack system along with profiling 1x6 Douglas-Fir KD Clear soffit.

  • Engineer drawings

  • Custom detail wood soffit around pillars

The Mayfield New Built

New custom built 6,400 square feet home in Burnaby, BC

Soffit King was called to work with architect and interior designer to layout the western red cedar exterior wall panel. Custom stained soffit was installed. With big over hangs we had chosen to run the soffit parallel to the house and make 45 degree angle corners.

Scope of Work:

  • work with architect and designers to layout where to use the wood soffit for cosmetics - profile & run 1x4 clear western red cedar kiln dried.
  • custom stain at Soffit King staining facility , darker stain (2 coats) chosen.
  • Soffit King install team had picked lengths to install various lengths at certain parts of the home . Some area required straight lengths and no joints.
